Ardmore House is set on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean on the Wild Atlantic Way amid rugged landscape. Situated 5km west of Clifden town, on the Sky Road Loop, it is a small holding stretching from the upper Sky Road to the lower Sky Road and on out to the cliffs of the Atlantic Ocean. The Blue Quay Rooms
The perfect getaway. Blue Quay is Clifden’s newest place to stay. Part of the house is nearly 200 years old and all but one of the bedrooms has a view of the harbour.
All rooms have good showers with new plumbing. A new fire protection system has also been put in place. Amenities: Only a three-minute walk into town where you will find a good selection of places to eat – bars, restaurants, etc. – and many good shops. Rates: Rooms are priced with the budget traveller in mind with double rooms from 70€ to 100€. A complimentary light breakfast is included. This accommodation is not suitable for children under 12.
The Quay House
In an exquisite setting next to the water is Clifden”s oldest building – The Quay House. Filled with antiques and old family portraits, you”ll get a taste of the town”s history and its people. The en-suite bedrooms are spacious with lovely views and are non-smoking.

Vaughans is a family-run business purchased in 1965 by Jack Vaughan. Originally a Pub/Grocery shop it currently operates as a Pub/Bistro with the dining room replacing the old grocery shop. Upstairs the rooms have been given a complete make-over to provide quality accommodation. So you can now EAT, SLEEP and DRINK at Vaughans. The pub provides a great variety of music ranging from traditional to alternative/rock. Bands such as Little Green Cars, Tupelo, Seanie Vaughan, Amoric and of course the great Rory Gallagher tribute man himself Barry Barnes. There’s a welcome on the mat- do call.
