The Wind Bloweth where it Listeth

28th September 2019 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

John Moriarty Memorial Lecture with James Harpur

Poetry, imagination and inspiration in this talk; James will honour the memory of John Moriarty by exploring the idea of the spirit – creative and holy. This has always been imagined as breath or wind. It has inspired creative acts down the ages, from oracles to poetry. With wide-ranging examples from ancient Irish tradition to poets such as Shelley, Emily Dickinson and Daoism; James celebrates the spirit of John Moriarty’s wide-ranging erudition and questing soul.
