Reading with Peter Fallon
and Eamon Grennan

Remembering Francis Ledwidge

Peter Fallon founded The Gallery Press in 1970. His books include The Georgics of Virgil (Oxford World Classics) and, most recently, Strong, My Love. A member of Aosdána and winner of the O’Shaughnessy Award, he lives in Loughcrew in County Meath.

Eamon Grennan lives in Poughkeepsie, New York, and in Renvyle, Connemara. His latest poetry collection is There Now (Gallery Press), which won the 2016 Listowel Pigott Poetry Prize. His Plays for Voices for Curlew Theatre Company have been premiered at the Clifden Arts Festival for almost the past decade. Synge’s The Aran Islands, was the first. He came to Renvyle first in 1977. So, like the Festival itself, this is his fortieth anniversary. He wishes he had improved – even grown younger – with the years, as the Festival has!

Sponsored by The Lavelle Art Gallery.
