The visual arts have been an important component of the Clifden Arts Festival since its inception. Connemara has a magnetic effect on artists of all genres but particularly visual artists. Being immersed in the wild beauty of this place has inspired visual artists for centuries. This year we hope to inspire you with a window trail around the town featuring the work of over sixty artists connected to Connemara. We also have eleven solo and group shows involving over twenty artists. The Clifden Arts Festival is very happy to confirm that we will be having a limited number of extra tickets for select events that will go on sale from Monday 6th September at 10 am.  This announcement comes as a result of the Government’s guidelines for the next stage of the roadmap which will see a limited increase of capacities at indoor venues. All new bookings, and existing ticket holders, will be required to show proof of a Covid-19 vaccination certificate for admittance to all events.
